HONG KONG SECTION,
BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
4th April, 1924.
Dear Mr. Neville.
As promised I send a complete list with all possible detail of the Chinese connected with the Exhibition. There will be a few more names to add, but these should suffice for a settlement of principles.
There are a number of Proprietors, Partners in Hong Kong businesses, or Representatives of such businesses. Following in grade are those "employed", and in the great majority of cases they are employed and paid from Hong Kong. There are two subclasses of these. Sir Robert Ho Tung 18 in England for the Exhibition, and the Secretary of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce is also here looking after the employees of the Chinese Exhibition Committee a Committee of the Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of
Commerce.
Nos. 111 to 119 inclusive (Dock Co) are artisans who will be a direct charge on the funde of the Section. No.110 is a personal servant of Sir R. Ho Tung and is with him at his house,
I hope these details cover all the cases, and give you all the information you need.
(Sgd)
Yours truly,
E. R. Hallifax.
Commissioner.
